Summer Shows

It used to be that when summer came, all of the shows would go on hiatus & there wouldn’t be anything new to watch on a weeknight.  Now, the summer season is its own season for new shows!  As a couch potato, I couldn’t be any happier with the fictional storylines all year round.  Here are a few shows that I’ve gotten into this summer & some that I want to watch:

The Bridge

1. The Bridge (FX) | Premieres:  7/10 | About
I’ve been a fan of true crime shows for a while & seemed to have missed the boat on fictional crime shows.  (Confession time:  I’ve never seen an episode of CSI (AnyPlace)!)  I think it’s time I jump on board & get into a good fictional “Get that Guy!” show.  Or it could be that I saw it advertised on my DirecTV & hit record because it’s a summer show.  Either answer works!

Under The Dome

2.  Under The Dome (CBS) | Premiered:  6/24 | About
Fun fact:  I knew about this show in advance because a coworker’s son is in it!  I have to say that while I wish the coworker’s son was Mike Vogel, who plays the character ‘Barbie’, so I could come face to face with the hotness, sadly he is only an extra.  The episode he’s in hasn’t aired yet, so he might just be a bigger hottie than ‘Barbie’!

Anyway… The Dome (as I affectionately call it) is awesome.  Basically, a dome (didn’t see that coming, did you?!) falls over this town & everybody loses their shit.  In the first two episodes, there has been so much crazy that my mind has been blown.

Crossing Lines

3.  Crossing Lines (NBC) | Premiered:  6/23 | About
I’ve only watched the first episode, but I like this show.  It’s fast paced & deadly (literally!).  I love how each character brings something different to the crime-solving table.  The show is basically about these different police type officers who work together solving crimes in Europe.

Hollywood Game Night

4.  Hollywood Game Night (NBC) | Premieres:  7/11 | About
A game night with celebs?  Sign me up!  This one is a reality show where normal people have a pop culture game night with celebrities & could win $25,000!
